The number one cause of windshield cracks and chips comes from driving on rough and rocky roads.

Even small pieces can cause large cracks, and if left untreated, a crack can lead to a fully shattered windscreen, requiring immediate replacement. If that happens, you need to organise a local windscreen repair service quickly.
Extreme changes in weather temperatures can also cause windscreen damage.
If your vehicle is exposed to significant changes in temperature, the glass will expand and contract; a process that may create cracks in your windshield.
Hailstorms can also lead to massive cracks, as hailstone impacts are strong enough to cause damage to your windscreen.
Car owners often overlook windscreen problems. Either the damage goes unnoticed, or it may be that the cost of repair is too high.
But a damaged windscreen is a danger to not only you but also your passengers and even others on the road.
Cracks reduce visibility, increasing the risk of an accident. Worst, if a cracked windscreen experiences enough force, which can happen simply by driving around, then it could suddenly shatter entirely, possibly leading to a fatal accident.
